Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) can remember information in your browser. This page explains which of these Numenia uses and for what purpose.

2. Essential cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences (for example, language). Without them, parts of the service — such as keeping your progress during a reading — would not work reliably. These cookies are necessary for the service you request.

3. Analytics

We may use analytics tools (including Google Analytics) in aggregated or anonymized form to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Analytics cookies help us count visits and understand which pages perform, without using that data to identify you.

4. Marketing attribution

First-touch marketing parameters (for example utm_source) may be stored locally in your browser so we can understand how visitors arrive. You can clear site data in your browser at any time to remove them.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Numenia is integrated with Google AdSense to serve ads when ad display is enabled. In that case, Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads) and manage third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Third-party vendors, including Google, do not receive the data you provide to us (name, date of birth or answers): these cookies are set directly in your browser for advertising purposes.

Google's own use of advertising cookies is described in its Advertising Policies FAQ (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).

6. Payments

When you pay, the checkout is processed by Stripe. Stripe may set its own cookies or similar technologies on its checkout surface under its privacy policy; we do not control those directly.

7. How to manage cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings (block all, delete existing, or allow only selected sites). Clearing site data for numenia.xyz removes our first-party cookies and local storage. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sessions or purchases from working.

For more detail on how we handle personal data generally, see the Privacy Policy.
